Carcinoma of the Prostate with Biochemical Failure after Localized Therapy
A Phase III Clinical Trial on Recurrence of Prostate Cancer with Androgen Deprivation Therapy
Why This Trial Is Important
The treatment of recurrence of prostate cancer in men after initial treatment is androgen deprivation therapy. Degarelix is the only GnRH receptor antagonist approved by the FDA for the treatment of hormonally-sensitive advanced prostate cancer. The trial is Degarelix Intermittent Therapy vs. Continuous Androgen Deprivation Therapy with Leuprolide or Degarelix in patients with carcinoma of the prostate with biochemical failure after localized therapy.
Who Can Join This Trial?
Men who are 18 years old and older with confirmed prostate cancer and without bone or other organ metastasis may be eligible to participate. If you are interested in participating in this trial, please contact us for a complete list of inclusion/exclusion criteria or to schedule a screening visit.
